In reality, cats and dogs have similar intelligence levels but different survival strategies. A dog is dependent and must please to get regular meals. The cat will mooch off his human roommates, but if the food runs out the cat can survive on its own. I love golden retrievers, but I don't want to be one. I'd rather be a cat.
